Green Roofs for Healthy Cities Releases Biodiversity Issue of the Living Architecture Monitor Magazine in Celebration of the Summer Solstice

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, the North America green roof and wall association is pleased to announce that a new issue of the Living Architecture Monitor magazine is now available which celebrates and promotes biodiversity.

“With more than one million species currently threatened with extinction, and 390 square miles of land paved over in the US each year for new development, we need to accelerate efforts to design, build and maintain green roofs and walls and other forms of green infrastructure to protect and restore biodiversity,” said Steven W. Peck, GRP, Editor, The Living Architecture Monitor. “Biodiverse green roofs and walls perform better than mono-cultural systems but they require a higher degree of expertise to design, install and maintain,” he added.

Articles and podcasts featured in the free Summer Biodiversity Issue of the Living Architecture Monitor include:
