Soprema Receives GRHC Corporate Member Legacy Award

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is pleased to present the GRHC Corporate Member Legacy Award to SOPREMA, in recognition of their outstanding commitment to advancing the green roof and wall industries.

The GRHC Corporate Member Legacy Award is designed to express appreciation to companies that have consistently contributed to the progress of the green roof and wall industries. This accolade is exclusively granted to long-standing corporate members who have continuously supported GRHC and contributed to our industry-building initiatives. We are delighted and proud to confer this award upon Soprema.

SOPREMA is an international manufacturer that specializes in innovative products for waterproofing, insulation, soundproofing, and vegetated solutions within the roofing, building envelope, and civil engineering sectors. Established in 1908 in Strasbourg, France, SOPREMA now operates in over 90 countries.

“Sopranature’s first green roof project in North America was installed in Toronto in 1995,” says Roxanne Miller, Manager at Sopranture. “For close to 30 years now we have been hard at work, with the recent addition of our Skywater product line for water management and Soprasolar for an easy adaptable solution for flat roof solar installations. By constantly adapting emerging solutions from our European colleagues, as well as developing new systems and products that fit our current and evolving North American market, we thrive to design nature based solutions that can contribute to our built environment. By building the first LEED Platinum Manufacturing facility, with our Woodstock XPS plant, which produces a material that has 99.92% less GHG emissions than its previous formula, we confirm that Sustainable development is imprinted in SOPREMA’s very own DNA.”

Join us in celebrating Soprema's remarkable contributions to the advancement of the green roof and wall industries. Learn more about their innovative products and dedication to sustainable building practices during the award ceremony on January 9th, 2024.
