Introducing Sustainable Futures Podcast 2: Cutting Edge Research on Rooftop Agrivoltaics

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is pleased to announce the second episode of its new podcast series, Sustainable Futures: Designing Green Communities and Buildings: A Living Architecture Monitor Podcast.  The episode features Dr. Jennifer Bousselot, assistant professor at Colorado State University in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture.  “Synthesizing Strategies Through Rooftop Agrivoltaics' ' highlights her ongoing research on rooftop agrivoltaics, an emerging technology that integrates green roofs, photovoltaics and rooftop agriculture. Agrivoltaics can increase resilience in urban food systems, expand renewable energy production, and decrease water consumption.  Dr. Bousselot will be presenting her innovative work at CitiesAlive 2022 in Philadelphia Oct. 16 to 18, 2022.

Peck, founder and president of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. “We are fortunate to have so much research underway in North America and to be able to show case the results at CitiesAlive 2022,” he added.  

Bousselot has studied green roof species selection, water use and substrates in Colorado for over 10 years. She is also Editor-In-Chief at the Journal of Living Architecture (JLIV).
