Green Roofs for Healthy Cities Announces Shayna Stott as New Board Member and Policy Chair

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC), the leading association promoting the widespread adoption of green roofs and living walls, is delighted to announce the appointment of Shayna Stott as the new Policy Chair for Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. With an extensive background in environmental policy at the City of Toronto and a strong commitment to nature-based solutions, Shayna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to further GRHC's mission of creating healthy, sustainable cities. Shayna has been an integral part of the Environmental Policy team with the City of Toronto City Planning Division for over 15 years. Throughout her distinguished career, Shayna has been instrumental in addressing the pressing climate and biodiversity emergencies through innovative planning approaches. She has played a crucial role in co-leading the development and implementation of the Green Roof Bylaw and the Toronto Green Standard, demonstrating her dedication to greening urban spaces for the benefit of both people and the environment.

Shayna will work collaboratively through Green Roofs for Healthy Cities to develop resources and advocate for supportive green roof and wall policies across North America. Under her leadership, the Policy  Committee will prioritize the advancement of nature-based solutions, to tackle climate challenges and enhance urban resilience. 

GRHC is excited to have Shayna Stott as the new Policy Chair, given her dedication to green infrastructure and expertise in fostering environmental change. By leading this committee, Shayna will contribute significantly to GRHC's vision of creating greener, healthier, and more resilient cities.
