CitiesAlive is back in 2022 from November 13 - 16, and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever! GRHC’s last two conferences took place virtually, so we are excited to that our next conference will take place in person! This multidisciplinary conference will be hosted in Philadelphia, in partnership with Penn State’s Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center. At CitiesAlive we will be able to gather old friends and make new ones, for the first time in four years, since the last major gathering of the green roof and wall industry. CitiesAlive will be about highlighting innovative green roof and wall designs, groundbreaking policies, and the best products and services in the green infrastructure industry.

Much of the content in Philadelphia will focus on the theme, Green Infrastructure & Water in a Changing Climate. Water is critical to the health and resiliency of our communities. Over the last decade, Philadelphia has become a green infrastructure leader through creative policy solutions that work to create vibrant community spaces while managing stormwater. CitiesAlive 2022 presents an opportunity to reflect on the Philadelphia Water Department’s 2011 Green City, Clean Waters plan, which committed to invest $1.2 Billion into green infrastructure over the next 25 years and create a framework to strengthen policies and programs across the country.
